Since becoming a qualified personal trainer almost 8 years ago, I have spent time coaching a variety of athletes ranging from everyday athletes to competitive powerlifters. I am very proud to have spent years working with athletes training for local, state and national level competitions in powerlifting including some national record holders. Recently I have been working with the Fitstop brand and coaching large group fitness classes. I am also a registered paramedic, providing me with a unique perspective on the human body and the importance of health and fitness.
Since discovering CrossFit, I have hung up my powerlifting shoes, so to speak and have fallen head over heels for the CrossFit methodology. I love that it encompasses all aspects of fitness and provides something for everyone, whether it be learning a new skill, getting stronger, fitter, or just having fun with an amazing community. CrossFit truly has it all.
Why coach?
I still remember my very first client and the look on their face when they achieved their first 100kg back squat. That feeling of being able to help someone achieve their specific goal is unmatched. Being a coach is more than a job to me, it is something that I feel immense privilege to be able to do.
In my spare time, you can catch me training in the gym with the 515pm crew or spending time with my partner Rob and our two crazy dogs.
